Bone and Joint Clinic History

The Bone and Joint Clinic has been a prominent and active component of the regional health care community in the Ark-La-Tex with a history that spans four decades. The founding vision of the clinic was to provide the latest advances in orthopedic care to the region while preserving the integrity of the highest quality patient care. The history of the clinic indicates that the original driving vision has not changed, and indeed, has witnessed great advances in the quality of care that orthopedic patients receive. The physicians at the Bone and Joint Clinic have been at the forefront of many significant developments in orthopedic surgery over the past decades – including the most significant advances in arthroscopic surgery and joint replacement technologies. In addition, throughout the years, the Bone and Joint Clinic has served as team physicians for many youth and college sports teams, and earned national attention for some of its more high-profile patients – including such greats as Super Bowl quarterback Terry Bradshaw and NBA All-Star Karl Malone.

For much of its history, the Bone and Joint Clinic was located on Louisiana Avenue, in a state-of-the-art free-standing facility. Drs. William S. Bundrick and Dr. Don Burt cared for patients from across the region and nation at that location for many years, with surgical operations at nearby Doctors’ Hospital. With the shifting trends in population and changing venues of health care for the region, the Bone and Joint Clinic re-located to North Bossier in 2008 – once again, in a new state-of-the-art facility that truly reflects orthopedic care in the 21st  century. Our new facility includes modern digital imaging systems, comfortable patient rooms and easy access to Willis-Knighton Bossier Health System.
